Three arrested for trafficking minor girls

Three persons including a woman were arrested from Bishnupur village in Raigunge for their alleged involvement in trafficking two minor girls.

After interrogating the accused, police came to know that they allured the minors with a promise to give a chance in films and were taking them to other state. 

The minors were sent to the North Dinajpur district child line. Acting on a tip-off, the district police reached the village on Saturday night and arrested the accused.  They have been identified as Abdul Jabbar Rafikul Mohammad and Renuka Mondal. Police came to know during investigation that Rafikul is a resident of Bihar. 

They are investigating whether the accused were involved in any inter-state trafficking racket. They were also probing the villagers. The two minor girls are from the Bishnupur village.
