Three arrested for kidnapping bizman in Ballygunge

 Police arrested three persons in the connection of kidnapping the businessman, Ramesh Sharma.

The businessman was kidnapped from Ballygunge and was taken to the Salt Lake Sector V where he was brutally tortured as some of the goons compelled him to strip and pressed cigarettes on his face.

Later, the victim informed police that, some eight or nine people had kidnapped him and drove him to Sector V via Eastern Metropolitan Bypass where they shot a video of him stripping and further threatened to post it in the social media.

The investigators caught some accused from a hotel of EM Bypass and believe that they are the prime accused in the case.

“There are five or six accused still at large. We are looking for them,” a police officer said. However, the businessman had informed the police that the kidnapping might involve his business rivals as he was been threatened by some unknown people a few days ago as well. 

“The victim is now in hospital but we have taken his point of view,” police said.
