Teacher held for rape bid on 10-year-old

A tuition teacher in his thirties allegedly tried to rape his 10-year-old pupil at Khori village in the Surajkund area of the district, police said on Friday. The accused teacher, identified as Netram of the same village, has been arrested, they said.

According to the complaint by the girl’s mother, the accused molested her on Tuesday. When she tried shouting, Netram gagged her mouth and threatened to kill her, police said. The girl's mother, police said, came to know of the incident on Wednesday when she refused to take tuitions.
