Taylor tops Forbes’ ist of highest-paid celebrities

Singer Taylor Swift has been named the highest-paid celebrity of 2016 by Forbes. The magazine has released its annual Celebrity 100 list, which features the 26-year-old at the top spot,  her wealth amounting to $170 million according to aceshowbiz.com. 

Superstars Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are among the world’s highest-paid Bollywood celebrities of 2016, in the same list.  She has also overtook her former boyfriend Calvin Harris who lands at No.21 with $63 million and singer Katy Perry who sits at No.63 with $41 million. Had Swift and Harris stayed together, they would have been this year’s top-earning couple. 

On the other hand,the British actor Tom Hiddleston has laughed off questions about his girlfriend Taylor Swift. 

Hiddleston, 35, seemed embarrassed when a journalist asked: “Is Taylor Swift the one?” He then laughed nervously before replying: “I would rather just talk about my work if that’s alright.” 

The duo, who started dating last month, were also spotted enjoying a romantic meal at Italian restaurant Gemelli on the Gold Coast. In a separte incident Scottish DJ Calvin Harris is reportedly unhappy with his former girlfriend Taylor Swift’s romance with British actor Tom Hiddleston.

“He’s not happy about their relationship. He was hurt,” a source close to Harris told pagesix.com. “Looking back, some friends do feel like Taylor’s team manipulated and orchestrated part of (her) relationship (with Calvin) after seeing how public she is with her new guy. It makes sense,” the insider added. Harris and Swift broke up last month, only days before she was photographed packing on some public display of affection with  Hiddleston at a beach.
