The Rs 235-crore ISRO satellite, funded entirely by India, will improve disaster and telecommunication links between six south Asian countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Sunday that 'South Asia Satellite' will be launched by India on May 5 in view of addressing and drawing preference to region's economic and developmental issues.
