Sushma Swaraj’s condition stable

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who was admitted in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Monday late evening is in stable condition. Swaraj was admitted to the old private ward under Pulmonary Medicine department of the hospital at around 5 pm on Monday but was later shifted to Cardio Neuro Centre at around 10 pm. According to the statement released by AIIMS, the minister is under treatment for fever, chest congestion with features of pneumonia. The statement also said that a medical team of specialists is looking after her.  

Sushma Swaraj aged 64 is also a diabetic patient, there was however no reaction from clinicians whether her diabetes was causing any complications. To brief on the condition of the minister, Dr MC Mishra, director, AIIMS was seen in Parliament premises on Tuesday. General Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd) , Minister of state in External Affairs, tweeted on Tuesday saying, “wish my colleague and senior leader Sushma Swaraj Ji a speedy recovery, All of us at MEA are looking fwd having her at ministry soon.”
