Congress leader Dr Manas Bhuniya highlighted Dr Surya Kanta Mishra, the CPI(M)’s candidate from Narayangarh Assembly constituency as the face of the “unofficial” alliance.
Dr Bhuniya, Congress candidate from Sabang Assembly constituency, on Sunday shared the platform of the election campaign along with Dr Mishra in Narayangarh where the former went to campaign to seek votes in favour of the latter.
It may be recalled that five years ago Dr Bhuniya had raised his voice for the alliance with Trinamool Congress and initially he had also been the minister of the new government. Ahead of the 2011 Assembly elections, he had asked people not to vote in favour of the Left Front. But now the scenario has changed and he is now busy praising Dr Mishra and his party.
From the election rally at Narayangarh on Sunday he raised various issues for which people should vote for CPI(M) in Narayangarh.
Dr Mishra on Sunday claimed that people will cast their votes in the favour of their alliance. It may be mentioned that Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has claimed it to be an “unholy alliance”.
He also assured that he will be visiting Sabang to campaign in favour of Dr Bhuniya.
