Stage set: Capital to get a new cultural complex soon

A state-of-the-art cultural complex will be set up in the National Capital, which will showcase India’s best known art productions through the year.
Culture Minister Chandresh Kumari Katoch told the Lok Sabha in a written reply Tuesday that the National Centre of Performing Arts will be set up in Delhi.
The complex, which is yet to be approved by the Planning Commission, would be equipped with a set of auditoria.
It will also have space for performers to showcase their productions, she said.
