I-League clubs agree to simultaneous running of ISL

I-League clubs agreed to the simultaneous running of the ISL for the upcoming season but on the condition that their matches be broadcast on the Star Sports platform with good quality production and proper marketing and promotion and scheduling of matches. The clubs also called for a task force to be set up to review the I-League on a regular basis. The meeting was attended by AIFF League Committee Chairman Subrata Dutta, AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das and I-League CEO Sunando Dhar. The clubs also stated that the travel subsidy needs to be increased. The clubs also called for permission to register 8 foreign players of whom 2 should be of Asian origin, and to play a maximum of 5 foreign players on the field, one of whom should be of Asian origin.
