South Eastern Railway to run two special trains to clear winter rush

To clear the extra rush of passengers during winter, South Eastern Railway has decided to run two pairs of air-conditioned superfast special trains between Howrah and Yesvantpur this month.

The trains would leave Howrah on December 18 and 25 and depart from Yesvantpur on December 20 and 27, a South Eastern Railway release said here.

The 00863 Howrah-Yesvantpur AC Superfast Special would leave Howrah at 12.40 pm on December 18 and 25, and reach Yesvantpur at 11.15 pm on the respective next days.

The special trains consisting of four AC 2-Tier and 11 AC 3-Tier bogies, will stop at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Nellore, Renugunta and Katpadi between Howrah and Yesvantpur. Booking of tickets will start on Wednesday.
