‘Sonia violated FCRA norms’

Swamy also blamed Sonia Gandhi for trying to sheild Tehelka founder Tarun Tejpal by pressurising prime minister.

‘She has violated sections 2, 3(d) and (e) of FCRA- 2010 which attracts a maximum punishment of five years imprisonment,’ said Swamy demanding Gandhi to make the detail of her private foreign trips to public since 4 August 2011.’There is now evidence available with the prime minister office that during this period she violated FCRA provisions in 14 foreign trips made to New York, London, Amsterdam and other foreign places,’he alleged. Swamy also demanded that as she holds public office she can’t keep mum.
