Siddiqullah shows interest on joining hands with TMC

Bengal president of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Maulana Siddiqullah Chowdhury will organise a meeting at Sahid Minar in New Delhi on November 26.

Siddiqullah met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee before he left for Delhi. On Thursday, Siddiqullah informed over phone that they have decided to join hands with TMC chief Mamata Banerjee this year.

Siddiqullah said, “I respect Mamata and I also support her cause. We always discuss about her work. She has always worked for the development of West Bengal.” Siddiqullah said he will talk to Banerjee after the meeting at Sahid Minar.

“We want to participate in the development work done by Mamata. She has done enough for us,” he said. Siddiqullah had also showed his interest to fight the assembly elections together with TMC. However, it is not yet clear whether the TMC will show their interest to join hands with Siddiqullah.

According to information, the TMC will start gearing up for the elections after Jagadhatri Puja. After the meeting at Sahid Minar, Siddiqullah has planned to visit various districts. He said they have to work hard in order to ensure peace in Bengal.
