Saradha scam: Satabdi Roy gets CBI notice

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has sent a notice to Trinamool Congress MP Satabdi Roy asking to be present at the CGO Complex within seven days.

Roy, who is an MP from Birbhum, was a brand ambassador of Saradha Media Group. She was present at many functions organised by the Saradha Group. She is likely to be interrogated on financial transaction. 

A senior official of Contai Municipality on Tuesday came to the CGO Complex and handed over the documents of Contai Municipality whose chairman is Soumendu Adhikari, son of Trinamool Congress MP Sisir Adhikari. The CBI found that there was financial transaction between the Municipality and the Saradha Group.
