Even as the BJP and ruling TMC government remain at loggerheads in West Bengal, Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on Friday said West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was ushering development in the state and treating the people as her own children.
“When the chief minister of state is a woman and her name in Mamata (which means affection), it’s obvious that the people of the state will be happy. Mamata Banerjee means those who treat her children with love. The state is moving on the path of development under Mamata Banerjee,” Jyoti,
the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, said on sidelines of a programme here.
The state BJP unit has time and again lashed out at the Banerjee-led state government and her party TMC for not doing enough for the development of the state and letting loose a reign of terror in the state.
