Richa leaves for Amritsar to shoot for Sarbjit

Actor Richa Chadha has left for Amritsar along with the entire team of Sarbjit to begin shooting for the upcoming movie.

Sarbjit is a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan and was sentenced to death. 

Richa will begin the shooting for the final schedule of the biopic from Thursday. “The actor will be shooting in Amritsar with the entire star cast for Sarbjit. Richa, who was shooting for Cabaret till the previous day, is now looking forward to this next schedule of Sarbjit. 

Richa might even meet Sukhpreet Kaur sometime this week,” a source close to the actor said. In the biopic, the Fukrey actor will be seen as the protagonist’s wife Sukhpreet Kaur. The actor also took to Twitter, where she wrote: “Travelling to my holy birthplace... For Sarbjit... Ambarsariya”.  Actor Randeep Hooda will be seen playing Sarabjit in the film, which will be narrated through the perspective of the victim’s sister Dalbir Kaur, played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Sarbjit will release on May 19.
