Rawat govt ignoring BJP constituencies: Ajay Bhatt

Leader of Opposition and state BJP president Ajay Bhatt staged a protest against the functioning of state government at Gandhi Chowk in Ranikhet on Monday. He has slammed the Congress government for alleged lack of development in constituencies of BJP MLAs including his own constituency.

Bhatt said, “The government is trying to block all approved development projects in my constituency including projects passed from MLA fund. The lame excuses of dearth of junior engineers and accounts from concerned department poses question mark over the working style of CM Harish Rawat who is going on inauguration and laying stones spree at selected places.”

The two-time BJP MLA from Ranikhet, Bhatt took on state government over lack of development in Ranikhet assembly constituency and stated that countdown for fall of Harish Rawat government has begun. “The masked face of Congress government has been exposed and people are ready to throw this corrupt government in next elections,” he said.

Defending the state government, former MLA and industrial advisor to CM Ranjeet Rawat said, “Why he (Bhatt) was silent over developmental issues for a long time as he never visited his constituency from the last four and half years. Now, when election season is coming, he is making allegation over state government to divert the public attention. CM Rawat is solely focused on overall development of the state including all 70 constituencies and not engaged in prejudiced policy.”
