Rajasthan HC orders re-announcement of RAS main exam results

The Rajasthan high court on Monday ordered the state public service commission to re-announce the results of Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) main examination on the basis of 'raw' marks within a month.
The court of Justice G K Vyas also held the scaling system, employed in preparing the results, invalid. Besides this, the court directed the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) to re-conduct the examination afresh with new rules for the additional 106 posts, which were increased after the main examination.
Justice Vyas gave these directions while disposing off a petition challenging increase in number of posts after the main examination, use of scaling method in preparing the results despite government's decision to discontinue it and non-discloser of raw marks.
RPSC is a state government agency for the recruitment of candidates for state administrative and allied services.
