Radcliffe eyed for ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ trilogy

It seems the original Harry Potter hasn’t said a permenant goodbye yet as Daniel Radcliffe is reportedly being eyed to reprise his most popular on-screen avatar in the film adaptation of West End play ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’.

Warner Brothers is apparently securing movie rights to ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’.

The play is rumored to be turned into a trilogy on the big screen. The original star, 27-year-old Radcliffe, is courted to reprise his role as the heroic wizard, reported the New York Daily News.

‘The Cursed Child’ follows an adult Harry and his youngest son. While the role was portrayed by a different actor in the London play, Radcliffe was open to return for the movie version.

“It would depend on the script. The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary. But then I am sure Harrison Ford said that with Han Solo and look what happened there!” he had said earlier.

“So I am saying ‘No’ for now, but leaving room to backtrack in the future.”

Meanwhile, Warner Bros is currently gearing up for the release of a spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, starring Eddie Redmayne.

The first movie is due November 18 and will be followed by two sequels.
