Property in Noida to get costlier

Hurry up if you are planning to purchase property in Noida, Greater Noida or Ghaziabad. The property rates are set to go up as government agencies are pushing forward for increase in circle and sector rates.

'We have recommended for 20-35 per cent increase in circle rates in entire district depending on location. The recommendations will be put for public opinion in next week at district head quarter and select government offices,' said S K S Sundaram, District Magistrate of district Gautam Buddha Nagar, which include Noida and Greater Noida.

The administration is likely to give one week time for public opinion and objections on the recommendations which will be examined by a committee. 'The increase in circle rates is imminent. We can incorporate some good suggestions of public and various interest groups,' added Sundaram.

Meanwhile, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is also preparing to hike sector rates in the city. 'An empowered committee is working on the proposal to revise sector rates which will be put in the board meeting for approval,' said Santosh Kumar Yadav, Vice Chairman of GDA.

The sources with authority say the rates are likely to go up by over 30 per cent in some sectors. GDA is also coming with a plan to allot flats in various sectors which are leftover.
