Private bus mows down 10-yr-old boy in Gurgaon

A 10-year-old school-going boy was run over by a private bus in the Millennium City on Tuesday morning. The incident took place in the bylanes of Gadoli colony, while the boy was on his way to his school accompanied by his aunt at around 8 am.

According to a passer-by, the bus was speeding in the lanes, which resulted in the driver losing control over the wheel and hit the boy.

The bus belongs to a private travel company known as Paras Travels. The bus was on ferrying staff working in a private company in Manesar. Raj kumar, the owner of the bus, is a resident of Sector 4, Gurgaon.

The incident led to a huge ruckus on the roads near Gadoli village, as the villagers started protesting against the mishap. The driver, who is on a run, has been identified as Danveer. The police have started an investigation in this matter and a manhunt is on to nab the driver.

The child was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

After the incident, the villagers, as a sign of protest, took the body of the child and placed it in front of the government school, to demand for justice. The protesters blocked roads which created a ruckus.

A compensation of Rs 1 lakh has been announced to the family of the deceased by the Transportation Justice Board.
