PNB awarded for export facilitation

Punjab National Bank has been awarded the ‘Niryat Bandhu Award’ for outstanding export facilitation during the year 2009-10.
The award was received by Rakesh Sethi, executive director, Punjab National Bank from the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee on 5 October at a function organised by Federation of Indian Export Organisation at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi for presentation of Niryat Shree and Niryat Bandhu awards.
The award was presented to the bank for its continued support to the cause of exports. With a 117 year long tradition in sound & prudent banking and over 68 million satisfied customers, PNB has always been sensitive to the needs of its exporter customers and extends export credit in Indian rupees as well as foreign currency at competitive rates to the exporters.
