Pierce Brosnan ‘deadly’ Bond, but Roger Moore ‘lady killer’

Pierce Brosnan is the deadliest James Bond ever with the highest number of kills while Roger Moore emerges as the lady killer among the six actors to don the iconic role.
When most people think of the meanest, deadliest James Bond, it is likely that Sean Connery or Daniel Craig will come to mind.
But as the famous film franchise turned 50 this week, it is actually soft-spoken Brosnan who has totted up the highest number of kills out of the six actors to take on the iconic role.
Moore and Connery closely follow with 51 kills each, with Craig trailing in fourth place with 25, despite his movies generally being described as grittier and more violent, the Daily Mail reported.
Craig has only ever uttered the famous phrase: ‘Bond. James Bond’, once in all of his three films, which include Quantum of Solace and Skyfall.
Unsurprisingly, Moore has said it far more than any other Bond, 10 times over the course of his seven movies.
He also holds the record for the highest number of kisses with 20 onscreen clinches, closely followed by Connery with 18, and then Brosnan with 12.
Craig and Timothy Dalton both shared a measly four kisses with their various Bond girls while George Lazenby managed three in one and only Bond film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
It was Brosnan who helped bring the Bond series its then highest-ever box office takings in 1995 when he starred in Goldeneye.
His next two Bond films, Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997 and The World Is Not Enough in 1999, unfortunately didn’t match the success of the first.
But Brosnan’s fourth and final film Die Another Day again broke a box office record in 2002 taking USD 431,971,116. That record was then smashed when Craig took up the mantle in 2006 for Casino Royale, which made USD 594,239,066.
The statistics have been correlated for the 50th anniversary of Bond films that was marked this week on 5 October, Global James Bond Day. A documentary Everything Or Nothing was also released on the anniversary of the franchise which shows it has had its ups and downs.

Casino Royale swimming trunks and a car he drove in Quantum Of Solace helped raise more than USD 1.6 million at a James Bond memorabilia auction in London. The Global Bond Day Christie’s sale was held to mark the 50th anniversary of the first superspy movie, Dr No, and former James Bond icon Sir Roger Moore was on hand to help sell off several collectibles and props, reported Contactmusic. The highlight of the sale was a 2008 Aston Martin, driven by Craig in Quantum of Solace, which sold for USD 386,000, while the swimwear he donned in one famous Bond scene earned USD 71,120. Veteran actress Judi Dench, who plays M in the spy franchise, helped boost the price of the trunks by declaring, ‘They’re unwashed.’ One bidder paid USD 251,600 for a titanium Omega Seamaster Professional Planet Ocean watch worn by the actor in the upcoming film Skyfall, while a Tom Ford suit he donned fetched USD 74,960. Other items which went under the hammer included an orchestral score for the new theme song Skyfall, signed on the cover by singer Adele and co-writer Paul Epworth.
