Paradigm shift in Indian political ideology, says Shah

BJP national president on Sunday said that the 100 days of Modi government at the centre have witnessed a paradigm shift in the political ideology of the nation. Innovative goals and directions have infused a new spirit among the common people who had lost all hopes during the UPA rule.

Former UPA government scrapped Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) when it first came to power in 2004, while Modi-led NDA government constituted a Special Investigative Team (SIT) in the first cabinet meeting to tackel the issue of black money, Shah said.

Shah was speaking in Haridwar where he inaugurated Patanjali Sewa Sadan at Swami Ramdev’s Patanjali Yogpeeth.   ‘PM Modi’s “Namami Gange” movement is closest to his (Modi) heart and this has become a mass movement for the protection and conservation of Ganga River. The new government is fully focused to give a new life to the polluted Ganga and bring back its pristine glory. Saving the girl child and conserving regional languages is also on government’s priority list,’ he said.

He further added, ‘The first-phase of Congress-free India has been completed in the recently held parliamentary elections. Now, the next target is to change government in states for good governance.
