One killed in motorbike-truck crash at Paharganj

One person died and another was injured when their motorbike rammed into a truck in Central Delhi's Paharganj area in the wee hours of Thursday, police said.
According to the police, the deceased Khurshid (30) lived nearby and worked in a factory. Khurshid was driving the motorbike when the mishap took place.Â
The police received a call around 4.15am about the accident and rushed to the spot. Khurshid and his friend were taken to the Lok Nayak <g data-gr-id="16">Jaipraksh</g> Hospital, where Khurshid was declared brought dead, said Parmaditya, DCP (Central).
Police said <g data-gr-id="17">investigation</g> revealed that Khurshid could not see a truck parked on the side of a bridge near Paharganj and rammed his bike into it. Khurshid was allegedly speeding. His friends called up the Police Control Room, said a police official.Â
