The play directed by Anita Shabdeesh- Chiri di Ambar val Udaan (Flight of a Sparrow towards the Sky) is of particular mention. Other local artf orms like the the Lavni and Loknritya from the Central ZCC (Maharashtra) and the Khyaal folk song from the West ZCC showcased their ideas of breaking cultural barriers.
The campaign was launched last year on 8 March 2013, by the Union Minister for Culture Chandresh Kumari Katoch.  The objective of the campaign was community mobilization through an inter-sectoral approach, in order to address challenges to women that are interwoven in cultural practices and perceptions. Art and culture are powerful media to tackle these challenges and the organisers hope they have made a mark.
