Now, portal for registration of khadi institutions

To mark Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is launching a portal namely ‘Khadi Institution Registration and Certification Sewa’ (KRICS) on Sunday (October 2), the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The move aimes at contributing towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives.

The online portal will be launched by Union Minister for MSME Kalraj Mishra.

Explaining about the new initiative, KVIC Chairman VK Saxena said, “The online registration of new Khadi institution is necessary to plan, promote, facilitate, organise and assist in the establishment and development of khadi & village industries in rural areas.”

“The KRICS will be another step towards ease of doing business. After the launch of this facility, willing institutions would be able to get their institution registered and would be able to obtain the khadi certificate from KVIC within 40 days, after uploading the needed documents,” Saxena said, adding that earlier this exercise was taking more than 3 years.
