Non-violence, going green and art

Non-violence, going green and art
The exhibition is presented by gallerist Jitendra Padam Jain and assisted by Annkush B Sharma. The exhibition will be organised at Alliance Francaise on 9 November and will continue till 10 November.

The artists participating in the show are of the opinion that the term Ahimsa is chosen as a theme for this exhibition which is dedicated to promote vegetarianism because it denotes non-violence.

Non-violence not just against people but animals. It is a multidimensional concept inspired by the premise that all living beings have the spark of the divine spiritual energy, to hurt another being is to hurt oneself.

Through the language of brush on canvas the artists have tried to show their concern and to promote greenery and vegetarianism.

Art has always been a medium of peace and conveying a message of non-violence and vegetarianism perhaps works wonderfully through colours.

Commenting on the theme, one of the participating artists Jyotika Chhabra said, ‘By embracing your inner herbivore you can bring positive changes in your lifestyle, the green meals bring peace and calm and a man can live and be healthy without killing animals for food.’

Some of the artists which will be participating at the exhibition are kanchan Chander, Jyotika Chhabra, Ritu kapoor Kamath, Balbir Krishan, Alka Raghuvanshi,Nupur Sakhuja Kundu, Babu Xavier, Azis T.M. And Birendra Pani.

This one’s for art lovers, head over!
