Noida flat buyers want govt intervention

Gautam Buddh Nagar MP Surendra Nagar submitted a memorandum to Union Minister Kamal Nath on Tuesday seeking his intervention in addressing concerns of flat buyers in Noida Extension.

'We are more than 2 lakh buyers who bought flats in Noida Extension and nearby places. While booking flats, we ensured that the builders have complied with all legal procedures. We have taken loans from private banks for which all of us are paying huge interests every month,' the Noida Extension Flat Owners and Members Association said in its memorandum.

The court has directed to stop the development work till the 2021 Master Plan is approved with all the incorporations as suggested by the National Planning Board, it quoted NEFOMA general secretary Shweta Bharti as saying.

The UP government has already incorporated guidelines and suggestions put forth by the National Planning Board. It has also passed the 2021 Master Plan and sent it to the National Capital Regional Planning Board, she said.

NCRPB delayed the approval of the Master Plan by rescheduling meetings and hence no decision has been taken so far even after lapse of a long time, alleged the memorandum.

'We appeal to you to take appropriate steps so that the delay in approving the 2021 Master Plan are not extended further more by the National Capital Regional Planning Board,' it said.
