New short film for Valentine’s Day released

A new short film "Queen of Hearts", which defies the stereotypical interpretation of the Valentine’s Day, has been released.

The film features seasoned actors Darshan Jariwalla and Smita Jayakar. The movie revolves around the Mehta family in which the men compete with each other to take the queen of their heart on a
date.

Talking about the film, Darshan, a Gujarati film, television and stage actor, said, "It's a beautiful short film about Valentine's Day and it shows how this day should be celebrated with the entire family and not just in isolation with your partners.

"Queen of Hearts is a fun film and the whole family can sit and enjoy it," he added.

Smita, who plays the titular character in the film, said, "It's a very special movie. In this unique story, we have tried to change the outlook of Valentine's Day in a fun, playful way. After all, it's all about loving your family."

The seven and half minute film was released on Saturday. Aahana Kumra and Avinash Tiwary are also playing pivotal roles in the movie.

The story is written and directed by Abhimanyu Kanodia and produced by Connect.1, the digital arm of Mukta Arts of Subash Ghai.

It is available across multiple digital platforms like Facebook, Youtube and Twitter.
