Sugar mills in Hry crush 205 L quintal sugarcane: Official

Chandigarh: The Cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have crushed 205.18 lakh quintal of sugarcane and produced over 19.42 lakh quintals of sugar so far during the ongoing crushing season.

While stating this here on Monday, a spokesman of Sugarfed said that cooperative sugar mill Shahabad has so far crushed a maximum of 36.54 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced over 3.63 lakh quintals of sugar, followed by cooperative sugar mill Rohtak which has crushed 31.07 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 2.86 lakh quintals of sugar.

He said Cooperative Sugar Mill Kaithal has crushed 20.47 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced over 1.94 lakh quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill Meham crushed 20.45 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 1.90 lakh quintals of sugar while Cooperative Sugar Mill Karnal crushed 19.02 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 1.85 lakh quintals of sugar.

Similarly, Gohana sugar mill has crushed 19.19 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 1.72 lakh quintals of sugar, Jind sugar mill has crushed 14.97 lakh quintals and produced over 1.39 lakh quintal of sugar, Panipat sugar mill crushed 14.60 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced over 1.38 lakh quintals of sugar, Sonipat sugar mill has crushed 14.83 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing over 1.42 lakh quintals of sugar and Palwal sugar mill crushed 14.04 lakh quintals of sugarcane and thus produced over 1.28 lakh quintals of sugar.
