New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Jammu and Kashmir on a two-day trip beginning Wednesday where he will address a university convocation and also visit the Vaishno Devi hill shrine.
On Wednesday, the President will address the 6th convocation of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in Katra, according to a statement from the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
On the same evening, he will attend a civic reception at Amar Mahal in Jammu.
On Thursday, he will visit the Shree Mata Vaishno Devi shrine before returning to Delhi.
His itinerary, however, doesn't include the Kashmir Valley that is on the edge in the wake of recent civilian killings during anti-militancy operations by security forces.
