Now, Cong leader Rajasekharan heaps praise on Modi

In a new twist, Congress leader and former Union Minister M V Rajashekharan congratulated BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the recent stupendous and impressive win in Uttar Pradesh. In a letter to Union Minister and party's senior leader M. Venkaiah Naidu, the Congress stalwart eulogized and congratulated both BJP and PM Modi.

"I would like to take this opportunity to convey my heartiest congratulations for the BJP getting absolute majority in UP and Uttarakhand, during the recent Assembly elections held under the inspiring leadership of our most respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, who was able to establish direct rapport with the younger generation who constitute 82% of our electorate," the letter says.

Rajashekharan also wrote a letter to the Prime Minister saying that the "tremendous" success came with the inspiring leadership of Modi.

According to the former Union Minister of State, Modi has been able to focus on poverty alleviation and empowerment of women to ensure their equal participation in all the development activities of the country. Rajashekharan also did not forget to praise Naidu. "You have contributed so much to the success of the Indian democracy and its functioning," he said.

The Karnataka leader's remarks came within a week after veteran Congress leader and former External Affairs Minister S M Krishna joined the BJP.
