NCP won't support Fadnavis govt if Sena pulls out, says Pawar

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will not support the BJP Government in Maharashtra, if the Shiv Sena pulls out, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said here on Saturday.

Pawar was replying to media questions about the Shiv Sena comments on not having faith in the NCP chief's word –about not expressing support to the BJP in case of its ally quitting the Government in Maharashtra.

Stating that he did not require a certificate from anyone about giving his word, Pawar said his party would provide a written assurance –including a copy to the Maharashtra Governor –against support to the BJP in case the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance broke up .

However, the Shiv Sena needed to back up its threat of withdrawing support to allied Maharashtra Government by giving it in writing with a copy of the same being given to the media, he said.
