NBW against Remo D'Souza

Ghaziabad: A local court here issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Bollywood choreographer and film director Remo D'Souza in an alleged case of cheating against him filed by a city-based businessman in 2016.

Satyendra Tyagi, a resident of Raj Nagar area in Ghaziabad has alleged that D'Souza had promised him double returns within a year against his investment of Rs 5 crore in his movie DOA-Death of Amar in 2014.

"I came in contact with D'Souza in 2013 as I am also in film making and owns a production house. He told me about his upcoming movie and asked me to invest Rs 5 crore where he promised to return Rs 10 crores within a year. However, I didn't receive anything and even started getting threats from Mafiyas" claimed Tyagi.

"In December 2016, I received call from a Mumbai-based Mafiya Prasad Pujari who threatened to kill me if I enter Mumbai again or demand my money from D'Souza. Pujari also attacked me in order to threaten me where seven to eight persons opened fire on me and all the bullets hit my car," added Tyagi.

Dr. Manish Kumar Mishra, SP (city) Ghaziabad said that they will send team to Mumbai to make arrest after taking permission from IG Meerut Zone.
