Govt: CISF offered security consultancy to 60 schools

New Delhi: The CISF had offered security consultancy services to 60 schools across the country and it has received responses from about half of them, the government informed Parliament on Tuesday.
Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, said the paramilitary force has offered consultancy services to 60 schools/school chains.
Those offered the services include the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidyalaya Society, Delhi Public School (DPS) society, Tagore International School Delhi, schools under the national capital territory of Delhi, Ryan International Schools, Podar Schools Mumbai, Doon School Dehradun, Rishi Valley School, Scindia School Gwalior,
Mayo College Ajmer and Lawrence school Sanawar among others.
The minister said that a "response has been received from 29 schools".
The Central Industrial Security Force started offering these services to schools in November last year in the wake of the killing of a student at a Gurgaon school.
