Fire breaks out at Goregaon godown; no casualties reported

Mumbai: A massive fire broke out at a godown in Goregaon area in Maharashtra's Mumbai on Wednesday. Eight fire tenders and six Jumbo water tankers are on the spot. No casualties or injuries have been reported as of now. The cause of fire has not been ascertained as of now.
The call by the fire department about the incident was received around 7.30 AM on Wednesday. Several people are feared to be trapped in the godown even as the magnitude of fire is said to be increasing, TV reports have claimed.
In a similar incident, a factory in Goregaon East area in Mumbai was up in flames in the early hours on January 27. 15 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. The fire broke out at Kama Industrial Estate on Wallbert Road around 8 AM, an official of the Disaster Control Cell of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had said. No casualty or injury has been reported from a blaze in a factory in Goregaon East.
