CBI files chargesheet against 96 accused

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)on Tuesday filed chargesheet against 95 accused including 83 candidates; four Vyapam officials and eight middlemen in a case relating to irregularities in Samvida Shala Shikshak Patrata Pariksha Varg-3 Examination–2011 conducted by Vyapam in the court of Special Judge, Vyapam Cases, Bhopal.
The premier investigating agency registered the case on an order by the Supreme Court in July 9, 2015 following irregularities in Samvida Shala Shikshak Patrata Pariksha Varg-3 Exam -2011 conducted by MP Professional Examination Board (Vyapam).
The said FIR was earlier registered against 77 candidates whose marks were illegally inflated and others including middlemen and Vyapam officials. The STF, Bhopal had filed 4 chargesheets. It was revealed from the files contained in the Hard Disk of the computer of then Principal System Analyst Vyapam that marks of certain candidates were allegedly increased to enable them to qualify the said test.
The same were verified with the OMR answer sheets of the candidates and it was found that marks of 84 candidates were increased, in the final result, to make them qualify the examination. One candidate is absconding and investigation is continuing in his case.
