BJP to roll out 3-month-long pre-poll programmes

New Delhi: Though the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) faced a major debacle in the recently held Assembly polls in the three states of the 'Hindi heartland' - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the party high command is not ready to look back. It declared a series of nation-wide programmes on Thursday.

During the National Office Bearers meeting at the party headquarters here party national chief Amit Shah strategised the further party programmes ahead of the impending Lok Sabha elections, including its National Council meeting on January 11 and 12, 2019 in the national capital.

While addressing a press conference, BJP MP and general secretary Bhupendra Yadav announced, "The meeting was pre-scheduled to discuss the further strategy for the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. National office bearers, state presidents and state charges were present. As per the decision, the National Council meeting is going to

take place on January 11 and 12, 2019 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium."

The National Council is the highest decision-making body of BJP. It includes party's all general secretaries, secretaries, state in-charges, vice presidents and state presidents.

It is also discussed to boost the different wings (Morcha) of the party, which can reach various section of society with the party's ideology and poll issues, sources said. It further adds that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's focus will be on 122 areas, where the saffron party might face a big blow in the general election.

"There are seven wings or Morchas of Bharatiya Janta Party, where the youth wing (Yuva Morcha) is going to play a big role in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, the party is going to organise a programme for the BJYM- a major workshop session, attended by national office bearers, state office bearers, and district heads at the Civic Center, in Delhi on December 15-16, 2018," Yadav said.

Apart from that, there will be a national conference of BJP Mahila Morcha on December 21 and 22, 2018 at Adalaj in Ahmedabad in Gujarat. During that meeting, BJP's national office bearers, district heads, public representatives and central leaders will also be present. On the last day, PM Modi is scheduled to address the programme. The Schedule Caste Morcha's meeting will be held on January 19-20, 2019 in Nagpur where national president Amit Shah, Union Ministers Nitin Gadhkari and Thawarchand Gehlot will be attending the meeting.

On January 31 and February 1, 2019 the national executive meeting will be held here in the national capital.

The National Executive meeting of the ST wing of BJP is scheduled on February 2- 3, 2019 in Bhubaneswar (Odisha). This will be attended by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

On February 15-16, 2019 the national conference of OBC front of BJP is scheduled at Patna. On the last day of the meeting a large gathering of OBCs will be held in Gandhi Maidan. This will also be addressed by the BJP chief Amit Shah, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, former MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, and Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das.

At the last on February 21-22, 2019 the Prime Minister will address the farmers' rally in Uttar Pradesh. However the vanue is yet to be decided.
