The Lalit Arpan festival has become a widely acclaimed landmark in the cultural calendar of the Capital and with its fame spreading beyond immediate boundaries, to be featured in this festival has become an attraction for several torchbearers of the classical performing arts genre.  This year the festival will be featuring the following artistes - Shounak Abhisheki (Hindustani vocal) - from Pune, Grammy award winner Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Mohan Veena) - from Jaipur, Vidushi Manju Mehta (well-known sitar arist) - from Ahmedabad and Vidushi Jayantimala and Rishika Mishra (Kathak). 

This festival is now in its 13th year. The LalitArpan Samman awardees for this year are - Satish Gujral (Padma Vibhushan and an icon in the field of art), Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Grammy award winner and maestro of the Mohan Veena), Vidushi Shobha Koser (preserver and propagator of classical arts in Punjab), RK Dhingra (SNA awardee and a pioneer in the field of light design), Pt Laxman Krishnarao Pandit (eminent Hindustani Vocalist of the Gwalior Gharana), Sushma Seth (theatre and film actress), Niren Sengupta (senior artist and art educator) and Harish Narula (social philanthropist, Founder President, Bharat Shakti Cultural, Educational and Spiritual Society).
