Murray to top ATP rankings post Raonic withdrawal

British tennis player Andy Murray will lead the ATP rankings after reaching the final of the Paris Masters following the withdrawal of his Canadian opponent Milos Raonic on Saturday.

The tournament organisers announced that Raonic would not be playing because of an injury to his right thigh.

After 122 consecutive weeks of leading the rankings by Novak Djokovic of Serbia, Murray is to top the standings for the first time on Monday with 10,785 points, five points ahead of the Serbian.

Djokovic fell against Marin Cilic of Croatia in the quarter-finals of the same tournament.

Murray will play the final against John Isner of the United States, who defeated Cilic on Saturday.
