MRPL continues impressive show

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) achieved a throughput of 3.47 mmt for the second (July-September) quarter of the current fiscal (2014-15) against 3.69 mmt in the corresponding period of 2013-14..
The decrease in throughput is mainly due to plant upsets while commissioning of new units, resulting in non-availability of secondary processing units
It achieved a turnover of Rs 16,770 crore (exports of Rs 6,079 crore) for the second quarter against
Rs 19,554 crore (exports of Rs 10,288 crore) during the corresponding quarter of financial year 2013-14.
