Bangladesh cricket team was fined for slow over-rate against New Zealand during the first One-Day International (ODI) in Christchurch on Monday. Mashrafe Mortaza, the Bangladesh captain, has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee, while the rest of the team have copped a 10 per cent fine. Chris Broad, Match Referee on the ICC Elite Panel, imposed the fine after Mortaza’s side was ruled to be one over short of its target when time allowances were taken into consideration.
