Modi addresses rally in Madarihat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi came down heavily on the ruling Trinamool party on Thursday.

Addressing a political rally Modi said Trinamool leaders had taken money to give favour and this was clearly shown during the sting operation conducted by Narada News.

He regretted that a blame game was going on between CPI(M) and TMC over the contract to construct Vivekananda Road flyover when many people had died.” This is unfortunate as the leaders are doing politics over death,” he said.

He said that during the British period and later, Bengal had showed the path. Even the British had high regards for Bengal. “But Bengal has been reduced to bankruptcy and no effort has been taken to revive the state.

Modi said despite requests Banerjee had refused to see him in Delhi. “I had called a meeting of the CMs for better development of the states. But didi refused to see me,” he said. Modi alleged that during her trips to Delhi, Mamata met Sonia Gandhi.

Modi alleged that no development in Bengal had taken place during Trinamool Congress regime. “There has been only bomb making factories and all other factories are closed,” he said adding the state government had failed to stop infiltration and distribution of counterfeit currencies.  He urged people to vote for BJP for complete development of the state. Under BJP rule there will be prosperity, peace and the state will march forward. “The people of Bengal have seen the pathetic condition of the state under Congress, CPI(M) and Trinamool. Now it is the turn for BJP. Vote for BJP and see the progress of the state,” he said.
