Mishap averted as 7 bogies decouple from train

A major accident was averted as seven bogies decoupled from the New Delhi-bound Bihar Sampark Kranti Express near Laheriasarai railway station in Darbhanga district on Sunday.

The incident took place due to a glitch, said Jafar Alam of Samastipur Division of East-Central Railway. Noticing that seven bogies had decoupled, the driver drove the train in reverse to the spot where the decoupled bogies were re-attached before it left for onward journey again, he said. No passesnger was hurt, he said.
