Miscreants rape minor at Jagatdal

A gang of miscreants dragged a 7-year-old minor girl from her room and raped her after taking her to a desolate place which is close to her house at Jagatdal in North 24-Parganas, ;police said. The miscreants fled from the spot after committing the crime. 

The incident happened on Saturday night when the miscreants dragged the girl out from her room where she was asleep. The victim’s father and grandfather who were sleeping in the adjacent room suddenly heard her screaming. 

Initially they failed to understand the matter as they were in deep sleep. When they suspected that there must be something wrong, they woke up from the bed and went to the other room to find that the girl was missing. They started searching at nearby areas but failed to trace the girl. 

After few hours they found the girl lying unconscious at a nearby place on Saturday night. She was profusely bleeding. They rescued the girl and took her to the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Kalyani. She has currently been undergoing treatment at the hospital. Police have started an inquiry into the incident. They are conducting raids to arrest the culprits. Police are investigating whether there was any family rivalry of the girl. Police suspect that the accused might have hatched the plan to take a revenge of any previous incident. 

According to the police, there could be a past rivalry between the accused and the family members of the victim. Otherwise, the miscreants could not have raped the minor girl after dragging her to her to an abandoned house. They are ye5t to arrest anybody in this connection so far. They are interrogating the family members of the victim and others in this connection.
