Minors abduct, kill friend for money

In yet another case of violence among juveniles, two teenagers first abducted and then killed their friend, before crushing his face beyond recognition, in Dwarka on Sunday. Reportedly, the victim was from a well-to-do family, and the accused had kidnapped him for ransom.

Police officials said the victim, Sahil (16), was a Class  X student and lived in Kakroola village.

He was missing from his house from Saturday morning. His father, who is a property dealer in the area, tried calling him on his mobile, but it was out of range.

Meanwhile, a passerby called the police and informed about the body of a youth lying near Janta flats in Sector 16. Police immediately reached the spot and identified Sahil with the help of his school identity card.

The accused had strangled him before crushing his face with bricks.

Reportedly, Sahil, along with the two accused, used to go to the same gym in Dwarka.

On Sunday morning, he got a call from the accused, and another person, Mahesh (19) to meet somewhere in Dwarka. From there, they brought Sahil to an isolated place and told him that he was kidnapped.

Hearing that, Sahil got annoyed and started using abusive language. A scuffle broke out and the accused   strangulated Sahil, said a senior police official. When the accused realised the gravity of the situation, they panicked and crushed Sahil's  face  to hide his identity. They  then dumped the body near Janta flats.

A case under Sections  362 (kidnapping) and 302 (murder) of IPC has been registered against the three in Dwarka police station and all of them have been arrested from their residences in Uttam Nagar.

The minors have been sent to the juvenile home.

Mahesh, who apparently masterminded the whole plan, is the elder brother of one of the accused and has a history of crime.

Reportedly, he had seen Sahil come to the gym in his own car, which prompted him to think that the victim was rich.
