MI, KXIP seek 1st win

Having started their IPL-8 on wrong note, Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will aim to register their first win of the season when the two teams face-off at the Wankhede stadium on Sunday.

MI lost to KKR by seven wickets while RR beat KXIP by 26 runs on Friday. The home side would be up against a strong KXIP known for their hard-hitting abilities, led by Australian George Bailey. Last year’s runners-up KXIP have few swashbuckling players like Glenn Maxwell, David Miller, Virender Sehwag, Murali Vijay, Mitchell Johnson and will pose a big challenge for MI.

While the big boost for the hosts will be the superb form of skipper Rohit Sharma, who struck an unbeaten 98 against KKR in the opener. Head to head, MI and KXIP are evenly poised both winning seven matches each.
