MHA may consider probe by central agency in IPL fixing case: RK Singh

Union home secretary R K Singh on Thursday said the home ministry would consider the request for probe by a Central agency into the IPL match-fixing and betting scam as and when it is received.
‘I’m yet to receive a request from the BCCI or any other relevant quarter for a probe in the IPL matters. Let the request come to me and we shall consider it,’ Singh said when asked to react to agriculture minister and former ICC chief Sharad Pawar’s suggestion for a MHA probe into the match-fixing scandal that is being investigated by Delhi police and Mumbai police.
