Man injured in blast while making bomb flees hospital

Suman Naru, a resident of South 24-Parganas who was admitted to MR Bangur hospital after sustaining injury in a blast, fled from the hospital on Thursday.  

Police said that on Wednesday afternoon Suman along with some of his associates was making crude bombs inside a house. The incident occurred when crude bombs suddenly went off in which they were badly injured. Suman was brought to the city on Wednesday night and admitted to the hospital. He suffered burnt injuries on his limbs.  

On Thursday morning, the nursing staff members of the hospital found that the patient was missing and reported the matter to the hospital authorities. Police conducted a search but unable to trace Naru. 

The other accused who were injured in the incident have been admitted to the hospital with burn injuries.  

Police are clueless as why the accused were making bombs inside a house. Police are yet to interrogate other accused in this connection as they are undergoing treatment.
