Malda College principal free to walk out: Partha

The principal of Malda College MK Anwarujamman is free to submit his resignation, higher education minister Partha Chatterjee said on Thursday.

Chatterjee will reach Malda on Friday and take up the matter with Anwarujamman. He said earlier that the principal had tendered resignation but on persuasion he withdrew it. “It seems that he is having problem and is free to leave. We will find out his successor,” Chatterjee said.

Anwarujamman said he would like to resign on personal ground. He said he had considered himself to be unfit for the post.

However, Chatterjee said in addition to academic activities, he had to look after the administration. “Since he is tendering resignation quite often, it shows that he is incapable to run the administration,” he said.
